Well, as most of you know, I already made the decision to close this site down, but due to popular request I might resume running Hugh-Jackman.com again - after all, the man does have a lot coming up in the future. However, at present I don’t have the energy, will or interest to run this site, so I’m putting it on indefinite open hiatus instead of closing it (yet, anyway). The domain expires this December, so I have time until then to reconsider. I would like to thank my visitors for showing their support, though - it is largely thanks to you that I am reconsidering keeping Hugh-Jackman.com. :)

Surprise! I just added 5 new and gorgeous MQ photoshoots to the gallery. They’re all watermarked, I’m afraid, but they are nevertheless worth a look (one of them is a really cute one on Hugh and Deb). Remember to credit us if you re-post them, and if you can find them in better quality, do contact me. Enough about that. The ever lovely Xeen alerted me to some interesting news regarding the production of the X-Men spin-off Wolverine. FOX has reportedly given the green light to the film’s new director, Brett… no, just kidding, not Brett Ratner, but - surprisingly enough - Gavin Hood, director of the 2005 Academy Award-winning foreign language film, Tsotsi. Well, it looks like Baz Luhrmann’s historical epic, the much anticipated Australia, which has been the main source of news on Hugh of late, has gotten an approximate release date! :)

According to AustraliaMovie.net, filming in Darwin, Australia wrapped up on July 11 (a brief visit it was, I know), after which director Luhrmann held a brief Q&A session at the Darwin Deckchair Cinema, where he announced that the film might be released some time in November 2008. “So if I don’t fall horrendously behind it should be out in November next year.”

Luhrmann further said that filming will continue until November 2007, followed by a year-long post-production period, which means it’s very much likely we won’t be seeing much of Mr. Jackman off the set until November-December. Personally, I can’t tell you how excited I am for this project, though - two of my all-time favorite actors (namely Hugh and David Wenham) in a film directed by criticically acclaimed director Baz Luhrmann! Add critically acclaimed actress Nicole Kidman to that equation and, gosh, does November 08 seem miles away…

I uploaded these a few days back actually, but anyway, I have added 8 MQ outtakes to the lovely Photoshoot #024, which seems to be a huge favorite among our visitors, judging by the gallery user comments, at any rate. ;) Remember that you must be registered and logged in to view photoshoots, or else you will get a “No image to display” message.
