Hugh in the News

With the US release of Australia and the UK premiere tonight, Hugh is all over the news. There’s even quite a bit of Wolverine news popping up so here’s a few links to keep you busy whilst things are happening behind the scenes here at h-j.com:

LOS ANGELES – The next great American movie star may just be an Australian. Who besides Hugh Jackman could sing, dance, brave a stampede, and leave both women and men swooning? This year’s People magazine Sexiest Man Alive is a throwback to the multitalented stars of the old studio system. Read the interview at the Boston Globe.

Several sources including Variety and the Hollywood Reporter are listing Hugh as a contender for the Best Actor Oscar for his role in Australia. Wouldn’t that be nice!

On the Wolverine side of things, Marvel has released 8 new pictures (including one featuring Gambit!). The first preview trailers are in cinemas now with a few illegally filmed versions available on YouTube!

    Dear Mr. Jackman,

I am a ChineseAmerican and long time fan yours. When I was a kid long ago, I was a Western movies fan and loved the movie “Shane” very very much.

I haven’t see good western movie in recent years,
and I know Hollywood re-produce a lot good old movies, I think “Shane” would be a very good one to re-produce and YOU will be the best actor to
play “Shane”. Believe me, I have read the book of
“Shane” and watched the movie many times, you should be the one for it. If you could find a good director and editor to re-write the story, this movie will bring you another Oscar and the
movie world will be crazy to produce western movies again. Just remember, if the movie “Shane”
really re-produced and YOU do played the MAN, I should have the credit to have this super idea, and having the idea at least 10 years. Thanks.

    Tony Young from CT/USA
