Just wanted to say that I thought you were the best MC for the Awards in a long, long time. You are very versatle and your singing and dancing really made the program very special. I hope they consider asking you to come back to do this again next year. The show went very smoothly and was very entertaining, thank goodness. There have been years when the show was really boring. The Oscars were far more entertaining than the usual boring stale humor and acceptance speeches. We thought Hugh did a fabulous job and his theatrical approach was both entertaining and amusing. The way they brought in some of the best actors to present in groups of five was also very interesting and appealing. Hugh really brought the show up several levels and a lot more aspects of a musical flare were worth staying up for. Great job all around. Thank you for entertaining us and a great evening was appreciated.
I haven’t watched the Oscars for a several years but was able to watch it last night. I have to say Hugh was the best host I have ever seen. It was a real treat to watch. You did an incredible job.

Last nights Oscars, hosted by Hugh Jackman, was so refreshing & so entertaining – I’m very suprised to read otherwise today. I thought Jackman did a fantastic job in his role as Host! I loved all of his performances in between awards and was also impressed with them as I didn’t know Jackman could sing and dance so well – and he’s so funny & good natured too. Too bad critics couldn’t see how refreshing his presence was in last night’s Oscars. We need more like him in Hollywood.
Watching the Oscars live from Switzerland, I was absolutely smitten with the host. Hugh Jackman was funny, charming, has a great voice and a huge presence on stage. He was the absolute highlight of the whole show. Congratulations!Looking forward to see him next year, same time, same place…..

Ever since seeing Hugh host the Tony’s several years ago, and high kicking with the Rockettes, and loving his portrayal of Curly in the TV production of Oklahoma, I have been looking forward to seeing Hugh host the Oscars, finally adding some talent to the usually boring, non-comedic (though they think they are) hosts of the past few years. He didn’t disappoint!! The boy is not only lovely, he can sing and dance with the best of them. I thought the show was a little long format-wise, but Hugh was outstanding. Thank you son…we love you!

I must say that this years Oscar’s was the best one I’ve seen in alot of years. Hugh Jackman did an astounding job. Never knew he was so multi-talented. He did the most amazing job and hope he hosts again. I found him witty, a gentleman, outstanding in his performances, and an unbelievable host.

Hugh Jackman is handsome, talented and effervescent and he made an excellent host. It was wonderful to hear him belt out those musical numbers! Barbara Walters’ interview showed Hugh in the best possible light – a talented young man with a great career ahead of him. I’m not a Wolverine fan, but I’ll probably tag along with my husband and grandson to the next one.
The show was quite a bit better than many I have watched. The idea of having former winners address each nominated actor/actress was a delightful addition — wonder why no one would have thought of doing that before. I have no idea why our local movie reviewer panned it, as did others I have heard this morning. The stage work was amazing — I’ve never seen it so adaptable to so many scenic impressions. Also, the music was quite good and used themes from former films that were familiar to me.
The women looked radiant, but I would have preferred more colorful gowns. Meryl Streep’s gray gown, Angelina Jolie’s black gown, and Kate Winslet’s gray-black gown looked funereal — not terrible, not terrific. I don’t see why anyone dissed Beyonce’s gold-on-black ensemble. I thought it was delightful.
I agreed with all of the selections, but sorry to see Josh Brolin lose his category. Heath Ledger’s performances will live on forever.

This year, thanks you, the show was to US, people from others countries who loves movies and wait for this party to see you, the actors and actress that we love. With all my respect to the others, but you “ARRASOU” (“demolished” in a good way). I loved it because didn’t have any joke with local politics, which only American people can understand. Hugh was great, this is the first time that I enjoyed the Oscars and was able to stay up till the end. This was the first time that it was not boring, Hugh brought his singing and dancing talent to it, I enjoyed every minute and I hope he comes back again next year.

I was really shocked and upset to read all the bad reviews from people in the US about Hugh’s efforts, especially because I was totally enthralled with Hugh’s performance when I watched the Oscars on Tuesday night. Personally I think the American’s are just upset that Hugh is not one of their own.
I though Hugh was absolutely fabulous and really brought back some old school entertainment which is much needed in this day and age. You deserve rave reviews Hugh…job well done!! You rock!
