Synopsis: Jack Willis (Hugh Jackman) is a manly roadtrain driver and an aspiring, talented novelist, who takes upon himself the pseudonym Ruby Vale - the name of a friend (Claudia Karvan) of his - in order to avoid embarrassment in his hometown. However, problems emerge when Jack is forced to ask Ruby, who is about to get married, to pretend to be the author of his book, when a reknowned publicist comes to town to sign "Ruby" a major book deal; as the situation develops, Jack becomes conscious of his feelings for Ruby...
