Synopsis: Scarlett Johansson is American journalism student Sondra Pransky, whose late journalist co-worker Joe Strombel (Ian McShane) returns from the dead to "haunt" her in order for him to get his one last scoop. Meanwhile Sondra becomes romantically involved with a wealthy aristrocrat, Peter Lyman (Hugh Jackman), who seems to be involved in a series of mysterious murders, and Sondra is caught between love and the biggest scoop of her life.
