Synopsis: Stan Jobson (Hugh Jackman) is one of the most, if not the most, talented computer hackers in the world, who has lost his daughter (Drea De Matteo) to his uncooperative porn actress ex-wife (Camryn Grimes), and is not allowed to see her. In an attempt to regain custody over his beloved daughter, Stan takes the hacking job offer by the secretive Gabriel Shear (John Travolta), but little does he know what he gets into and what massively influential people he's really dealing with....

Personal comments: It's a shame this movie was withdrawn from US cinemas due to 9/11, because Swordfish is definitely one of the better action movies around, with an original, quick-to-turn plot and some excellent acting performances, especially by John Travolta, who has by far the most interesting role in the film. Sure, after a good 10 watches it might not be as gripping as before, as Swordfish relies quite heavily on its element of surprise, but it is nevertheless an interesting, thought-provoking and, most of all, entertaining movie experience.
