Viva Laughlin and Scream 2007 Awards

Hugh’s latest TV project, Viva Laughlin, will preview on October 18th before premiering on October 21st (7/8pm, CBS) but already rumours are circulating that the show may be cancelled. It’s a drama and a musical in one; Hugh is the executive producer of the show as well as playing bad guy Nicky Fontana but critics have called it “a mess” and it’s already ready been voted worst TV show. Here’s hoping opinions improve once it airs.

In more positive news, Hugh has been nominated in the Scream 2007 awards for his role in The Fountain. The film is nominated for Best Sci-Fi Film (as is another of Hugh’s films, The Prestige)whilst Hugh and co-star Rachel are nominated for Sci-Fi Star and Sci-Fi Siren respectively. Voting will be open tomorrow at scream.spiketv.com until October 19th when the awards ceremony will take place.

Hugh at the Melbourne Red Ball and new site owner!

Well, what do you know? Hugh’s made a proper appearance, the first one since February 2007. On August 18, he and wife Deborra-Lee Furness attended the Bone Marrow Donor Institute Red Ball 2007 in Melbourne - and, of course, Hugh looked fabulous as always. ;) I’ve added 34 MQs and HQs of him at the event to the gallery.

I’m afraid this will be my last post as the owner of Hugh-Jackman.com. It’s been a fun ride, lovelies, and it pains me to let this site go, but with my life taking a whole new course this year and the next, something’s gotta give, and I’ve come to the realization that no matter how dearly I love Hugh and love running a site for him, this site is much too big for me to maintain. I have thus opted to give this site away to my good friend and fellow fan site webby, Niu of Quasi-Evil.net, who will be your slave devoted fan site webby from now on. ;) Me you can still find at Milla Fan, Chloë Sevigny Online and Robert Sean Online, and I will continue to contribute content to Hugh-Jackman.com (because I still have a lot of it to share), even though I’m no longer “in charge”, as it were. And, naturally, to Hugh Jackman himself I wish the best of future! :) Goodbye, lovelies.

Hugh-Jackman.com on indefinite open hiatus!

Well, as most of you know, I already made the decision to close this site down, but due to popular request I might resume running Hugh-Jackman.com again - after all, the man does have a lot coming up in the future. However, at present I don’t have the energy, will or interest to run this site, so I’m putting it on indefinite open hiatus instead of closing it (yet, anyway). The domain expires this December, so I have time until then to reconsider. I would like to thank my visitors for showing their support, though - it is largely thanks to you that I am reconsidering keeping Hugh-Jackman.com. :)

5 new exclusive photoshoots in the gallery!

Surprise! I just added 5 new and gorgeous MQ photoshoots to the gallery. They’re all watermarked, I’m afraid, but they are nevertheless worth a look (one of them is a really cute one on Hugh and Deb). Remember to credit us if you re-post them, and if you can find them in better quality, do contact me. Oh and don’t forget to register and/or log in to the gallery, or you will get a Coppermine error message when trying to access the images. ;)

FOX approves ‘Wolverine’ director!

I have some very special Hugh caps coming up for you soon, but you’ll have to wait for them just a little bit longer because I am currently being tormented by the worst stomach flu in the history of the universe. Enough about that. The ever lovely Xeen alerted me to some interesting news regarding the production of the X-Men spin-off Wolverine. FOX has reportedly given the green light to the film’s new director, Brett… no, just kidding, not Brett Ratner, but - surprisingly enough - Gavin Hood, director of the 2005 Academy Award-winning foreign language film, Tsotsi.
